It has particularly focused on businesses but more recently turned its attention to consumers. Sophos’ history in this antivirus sector includes 30 years specializing in holistic endpoint security solutions. While perhaps not as famous or popular with consumers as other industry contenders like Bitdefender or McAfee, both claim longstanding prestige in the antivirus market, especially among business cybersecurity solutions.ĮSET focuses its approach on quality scans with low system impact, emphasizing the importance of its lightweight but effective software.

In this review, I will put two antivirus software programs up against each other: ESET and Sophos.
